Lochlea Our Barley 46% vol – 70cl Lowland Single Malt
Matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry casks and STR barriques, Lochlea 'Our Barley' sits at 46% ABV and is non-chill-filtered with no added colouring.
Nose: Lots of rich and fruity sweet notes on the front of the palate, new season honey, springtime grass, candied orange peel, soft almond notes, With a little bit of soft baked fruit buns.
Palate: A nice vibrant fruity note, toasted waffles and maple syrup, whipped vanilla and honey, creamy tones, some nutty peppery flavours in the mid palate, more fruits like peach and a hint of melon, soft golden oak richness from the cask alongside the richness from the barley add a complex vanilla and cereal note
Heading to the finish with cookies and cream, lingering rich shortbread and honey glazed fruity and cereal bars.
