Family-owned Islay farm distillery Kilchoman is known for its bold, pronounced peated whiskies. This edition sees that power amped up even further, with the release weighing in at a batch strength 57% ABV. The expression doesn’t just rely on the alcohol to pack in flavour though – it’s been made using bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry butts and re-charred red wine casks. A fruit-forward, deeply spiced single malt that also heroes its signature smoke.
