Only 198 bottles of this very rare expression from Imperial distillery have been released by Elixir Distillers under their SMOS Marriage of Casks series. The sadly lost Imperial distillery closed its doors in 1998 and was demolished in 2018. Aged in American oak refill barrels and bottled at 44.8% ABV.
Nose: Lemon sherbet and lemon drizzle cake. Rich, sweet, honeydew melon alongside meadow flowers and hints of vanilla.
Palate; Strawberries in vanilla custard, milk chocolate and a hint on menthol.
Finish: Dry grass and haystacks with a touch of wildflower honey.
