Matured in rich American oak casks for a minimum of 15 years, with a proportion of the aged malt then heading to a final 3 years in some selected Oloroso sherry casks.
The result of this selective aging process is a single malt that needs to be savoured and shared without rushing, its taken time to perfect give it time to work its magic across the palate.
Nose: Some smooth and creamy caramel notes opening the aromas, with some light backed brioche, soft toffee coated cereal, delicate vanilla, golden honey, toasted fruit cake, subtle sweet smoked oak and summer hay.
Palate: Some very nicely balanced citrus notes of orange and lemon with a rich creamy that glides from the front to the middle of the palate, toffee and whipped cream, hints of charred oak and fruits, mellow and full bodied at the same time, with a little soft smokiness adding to the abundance of flavours in the great aged single malt.
