Glen Spey 2009 Bottled 2022 Ex Bourbon cask with a 12 month finish in a Oloroso sherry cask, 53.9% vol
Nose: Some golden honey and toffee start the aromas in this delightful single cask, with some hints of brandy snaps and ripe pears, hints of charred oak and toasted caramel coated cereal bars, hints of lemon and ginger.
Palate: Even at cask strength this dram is delivering across the whole palate, with soft chewy toffee and sugared almonds, a rich of pink pepper and soft dates, with a touch of milk chocolate and crazy sour candies adding very nice mid note to the palate, with a long and smooth lead into a very well balanced finish.
An excellent single cask from Speyside.
