Dailuaine 14 Year Old 2010 Saltire #308853 48.8% 70cl

A beautifully aged Speyside single malt from Dailuaine distillery, independently bottled by independent bottler Saltire. Distilled back in July 2010, it rested for 14 years in a first-fill bourbon hogshead, letting the distillery character shine. Just 299 bottles have been released at a hearty 48.8% ABV.

Tasting note from Saltire:

Werther’s Echte, butterscotch, caramel toffee built on lemon meringue pie. Definitely a citrussy edge, with some vanilla on the side. Boiled sweets, with chopped hazelnuts in the finish. A slightly musty note in the overall experience which interestingly adds to the enjoyment rather than distracts.
