Clynelish 10 Year Old Special Releases 2023 The Jazz Crescendo 57.5% ABV
An alluring 10-year-old Clynelish expression that pairs the waxy distillery character with first-fill ex-bourbon American oak casks. The resulting whisky lets the signature texture sing, with the addition of honey, mineral and sweet spice notes. Mouthfeel is key here, with the viscosity punctuated beautifully with a peppery quality. A fabulous Clynelish bottling.
Tasting note:
Nose: There’s the classic Clynelish wax, but mineral elements, heather, vanilla, salted caramel and fudge notes arrive too.
Palate: Full bodied and round – but lifted by that peppery warmth. Sweet spices add to the story, while toffee sweetness provides balance.
Finish: Long, smooth and spicy.
