A truly fascinating Romanian whisky made at the country’s first single malt maker, Carpathian Distillery. This expression was initially matured in ex-Bourbon American whiskey barrels, before being transferred to casks that held Fetească Neagră red wine. It was made at the distillery’s adjacent winery! It’s bold, fruity and round, with a pepper spice that builds in texture. A must-try for lovers of an esoteric cask!
