Developed in partnership with the Chicago Rabbinical Council, this is a classic Buffalo Trace rye recipe aged for up to seven years in barrels specifically designated as Kosher. The whiskey is released every year post-Passover.
Nose: With a sweet and spices opening with lots of fragrance and dried fruits, vanilla and honey with tangy cheeries and sweet baked apple, a touch of cinnamon and crushed almonds, nutmeg, peach and toasted sourdough bread, smoked oak
Palate: Vanilla honey with a touch of sweet spices, toffee and waffles adding a nice rich smooth not to the opening of the palate, more warming notes of liquorice and crushed black pepper, some of that rich sweet smoked oak from the nose arrives in the mid and late palate, with a touch of melon and mint chocolate chips, some biscotti biscuits and cream
Finish: Long and lingering with more softly warming spices.
