We are big Ben Nevis fans here at Milroy’s, so new independent bottlings, like this one from Curious Spirits, are always welcome. This 14-year-old release was drawn from a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, with the Highland distillery’s signature robust complexity shining through. There’s also a touch of bonfire-like peat smoke to add to the richness.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Caramel, peach, cinnamon, and milk chocolate,
Palate: Stewed fruits and a hint of smoke
Finish: Long with lingering sweetness.
