A very tasty new release from the Peak District, where the distillery is housed in an old wire works! White Peak was founded by husband and wife duo Max and Claire who are obsessed with all things flavour. Their whiskies offer a remarkable sense of place - they're made with yeast from a local brewery, and all are very lightly peated! And incredibly exciting English whisky producer.
Nose: Rich fruity smoked meats, pretzels, olive oil, chestnuts and sweet spices. A subtle sweet smoke and barley sugar twists.
Palate: Dry spices with hints of cookie dough and a marzipan tang, deliciously fruity with a spiced apple, pear and peaches, warming and lingering richness to the very end, a little sweet smoke helps keep the finish going for some time.
Finish: Long and lingering, with more subtle smoke.
