Tomintoul Seiridh 40% ABV
A mouthwatering, sherry-forward release from Speyside producer Tomintoul. ‘Seiridh’ literally means ‘sherry’ in Scottish Gaelic, and this has been finished in first-fill Oloroso butts after starting like in ex-bourbon casks.
Tasting note:
Nose: Among red fruits are darker toffee, raisin and coffee notes, with a helping of bright grains to round it out.
Palate: Pecan, toffee and clove develop into cinnamon, almond and pecan - essentially like a Christmas cake.
Finish: Medium length and mouth-coating, with more drying coffee.
