Tomintoul 14 Year Old White Port Cask 46% Vol Limited Edition 2008
Distilled in 2008 and matured initially in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being finished in specially selected White Port barriques, each cask carefully selected by Master Distiller Robert Fleming.
Nose: Sweet and golden fruits, some banana and sweet pears, light creamy toffee, some light hints of sweet grapes, with increasingly rich aromas growing in the glass.
Palate: A velvet smooth opening on the palate, some toasted waffles, Dutch pancakes with pineapple, melon, and soft spices, with touches of apricots, soft honeycomb, with a touch of vanilla pod, heading into the finish a warming sweet spice flows across the palate, rich and creamy fruit cake.
This is a perfect marriage of cask & whisky that's very smooth and rich from the first sip.
