A fabulously aged independently bottled single cask from Tobermory. One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and the only whisky maker on the Isle of Mull, Tobermory has a reputation for shining at a higher age statement. This is no exception. A refill hogshead, this has been bottled without chill-filtration and at its natural colour by Thompson Bros. The vibrant label design comes courtesy of Scotland-based artist and illustrator, KMG. One to sit back and enjoy.
Nose: Remarkably sweet, the nose opens like a traditional sweet shop with rhubarb and custards and parma violets. Peach then comes through, followed by aromatic herbs and a seaside freshness.
Palate: Waxy and round, the palate offers the freshness of gooseberry and pear, along with black pepper, raisins and quince.
Finish: Medium-length but meandering, with fennel and a toasted oak.
