Nose: Classic richness from the nose with hints of stem ginger and honey, soft vanilla and a subtle sweet spice, caramel and pears with a hint of apple and cream.
Palate: Something far more mature on the palate than the age suggests, dried spices, peach, some delicate leathery notes, light lemon and lime freshness gives a superb balance to the mid palate.
The cask is doing its job with this dram as a sweet vanilla and oak flow into play alongside baked apple, breakfast pancakes with pineapple and a dash of honey and ginger.
