This is a single grain matured in Californian wine casks (Cabernet Sauvignon oak casks) The resurgence of Irish whiskey is in no small part thanks to the team behind the Teeling brand.
Nose: Crisp sweet clean and fruity nose, some honey and cream add a deeply rich element to the nose as we discover some berries and melon from the wine casks taking a leading edge on the nose.
Palate: Rich full bodied with hints of berries and sweet oak, toffee and hints of sweet spice, ginger and Pastel De nata build the mid palate up perfectly. More orchard fruits and delicate spices towards a lingering smooth rich elegant finish.
