Teaninich 14 Year Old Fragrant Drops Fresh Bordeaux Finish 53.8% ABV
Highland distillery Teaninich is generally considered a Diageo workhorse, with most of its output saved for blends. Find one of these single malt or single cask expression and you’re in for a treat. This one has been independently released by the team at Fragrant Drops. Initially matured in a refill hogshead, it’s enjoyed just under two years in a new Bordeaux red wine barrique. The result? A rich, elegant characterful single malt Scotch whisky.
Tasting note:
Nose: Sumptuous and sweet, with bold honey, toffee, vanilla custard, milk chocolate and fresh barley notes.
Palate: More round, creamy sweetness, with a velvety elegance with added pear, delicate nutmeg and strawberry jam.
Finish: Medium length with lingering chocolate.
