Smoky Scot 46% 70cl

From Caol Ila distillery this is a peated smokey Isla, ex-bourbon cask matured
Nose: Smoke and peat as expected, but this is a little more than just that, slight oily floral notes push in and out from the moment it hits the glass, seaweed and coastal notes, charred vegetation and a peated earth note.
Palate: A big bold and classically Islay palate, dry fruits with some sweet pepper and polished leather notes, coastal influences flow evenly across the palate, more of the seaweed from the nose unleashes a warming broody smoke note into a lingering mid palate.
A slight fresh clean element starts off a rich complex finish of warming soft salted caramel adds a nice mouth feel and soft mint a little delicate floral spice and warming peat smoke.
