Safe Haven 6 Year Old Murray McDavid 50% 70cl

A nicely balanced dram but with a heavy peat note to tempt all fans of the Island styles like Ledaig. 

A finish of 2 Sherry cask types  Ximénez- Spínola, 

A young spirit it might be but its taste is far more advanced than its six years in the cask. 

Nose: Rich sweet smoke and burning embers mix with dark ripe fruits like dates and plumbs, peppery and sweet at the same time. 

Palate: Robust smoke with dark chocolate and red berries, hints of liquorice root, sweet smoke takes over as the palate really opens up to reveal coastal notes with fishing rope and salted caramel. Lingering spices throughout the dram.
