Port Dundas 23 Year Old James Eadie Refill Amontillado Finish 49.9% ABV

An exciting single grain release from independent bottler James Eadie. Initially matured at ghost distillery Port Dundas, this expression has spent 23 years in oak – including a 21-month finish in ex-Amontillado sherry casks. Just 177 bottles have been released without colour or chill-filtration.

Tasting note:

Nose: Initially rather bold, with nutty syrups, stewed orchard fruits and jammy berries leaping from the glass.

Palate: Bright apples are followed by tropical fruits, caramelised pecans, melon, cinnamon and ginger biscuits.

Finish: Medium to long, with a creamy texture.
