Millburn 12 Years Old  Distilled 1983 Bottled  1996 - 59.1% Demolished Highland Distillery Bottled by Wm Cadenhead’s

One of those hidden gem single malts that really shines for its unique and powerful flavour.

(Notes created for a tasting in August 1996)

Nose: Smooth and rich aromas mingle with desiccated coconut, Turkish delight, some green sour grape, sliced pears and banana fritters, with a drop of water a nice brioche with toasted farmhouse bread and fresh churned butter.

Palate: A little Highland funk and classic speyside like mellow tones lead the front of the palate, Honey and sweet hints of ginger and allspice, A deliciously tempting mid palate of creamy toffee, vanilla and honey, a little hint of mint and herbal tangy notes leading into a smooth and rich fruity flavour with that original Turkish delight rose and strawberry like flavour with a dash of dry oak and spice.
