Longrow Peated 46% 70cl

In 1973 Springbank decided to start peat drying barley a little longer for some of their malt, then again a small amount was produced in 1974. This malt was then used to create the Longrow range of Campbeltown single malts, named after the now lost distillery of Longrow. The whisky offers the fruity and oily notes of Springbank with a strong peaty flavour, great for fans of the Islay whiskies! After so much demand and the craving for a repeat of the '73 and '74 Longrow production was restored for this style in the 1990s.

Nose: With a sweet creamy undertone that sits with ease side by side with a bolder coastal aroma, smoke and peat give off a smouldering wood aroma, some salted dark treacle and hints of dried spices.

Palate: Exceptionally rich and tasty from the start, with a smoked fruit note, medicinal classic smoke tones give the palate a great balance, some salted caramel and crispy seaweed, savoury crackers and gentle sweet smoke that lingers on the finis.
