A full-bodied whisky from Speyside, with the traditional fruity and juicy character, and a strong backbone of creamy malt and robust honey. Finished in Oloroso sherry to achieve a bold contrast between the spiciness of the sherry and the round rich body of the whisky.
Nose: Lots of sherry cask shines through on the nose, spicy, nutty, and fruity, glacier cherries, red grapes, toffee, vanilla, ruby chocolate, peach and apricots.
Palate: A bold and fruity start with lots of candied orange, red berries, soft spices, hints of tobacco leaf, sweet and soft fig, damson, dried fruity notes level out the mid palate, with a soft toffee and delicate honey, some dried apricots and toasted cereal with a honey glaze, spiced apple with a touch of red berries in the lingering dry finish.
