A vibrantly young, flavour-forward Mystery Malt release from independent bottler Murrah McDavid. Here, a heavily peated single malt Scotch from a distillery that “produces an astonishing array of styles” has been filled into two different cask types. For three years, spirit was aged in Tawny Port from Caves de Murça and Madeira from Justino’s, before they were married together to make this rambunctious dram.
Tasting notes from Murray McDavid:
Nose: smoky jam, oak spice, floral
Palate: warming peat, orchard fruits
Finish: creamy malt, mellow embers
