Don’t let its palate colour trick you into thinking its going to be light and golden!
Nose: Burning oak embers, wet peat and dried vine fruits, smoked cheese and lingering gooseberries and honey richness, a hint of peat smoke starts to build in the glass with this rather rich aromatic single malt, waxy parchment and dusty old leather.
Palate: As sumptuous rich and flavour forward opening to the palate, smoke and ash, citrus and hints of pink lint, waxy oily orange and pineapple, tangy salted caramel, herbs and peat, coastal notes of Rockpool and foam, dried orange and creamy lemon fondant, some sweet and sour notes like pickle and gooseberry.
This is a very enjoyable after dinner dram perfect with smoked cheese.
