Kilkerran 12 Year Old

Kilkerran 12 Year Old 46% Vol Campbeltown Single Malt 

The first new distillery in Campbeltown for decades, Kilkerran is distilled at Glengyle distillery and uses stills originally built for Ben Wyvis Distillery. Run by J&A Mitchell of Springbank and using barley from their maltings, the whisky is lightly peated. The 12-Year-Old is a classic Campbelltown dram; peaty, oily and salty. However, it's lemon meringue and butterscotch profile distinguish it from Springbank and Glen Scotia.

Nose: Deliciously tempting, some ripe pears and peaches, some gentle woody notes with toffee and a hint of ginger. 

Palate: Silky rich mouth coating at the start with a creamy vanilla and salted caramel, honey and a warming soft smoke note mix into this dram so well you can tell its a classic Campbelltown made with care.
