Nose: Smoke and dark fruits mix rather well on the nose, with plumbs, dates, sweet red grapes, underpinning is a rich a velvety vanilla and gentle spice, as this dram rests in the glass more of the sweet and rich fruits come out, the smoke lingering nicely throughout.
Palate: Those classic tones of Islay mingle so perfectly well with some warming sweet spices, rich and full-bodied dark fruits, dates and sweet plums, some jammy tones linger in the mid palate, warming and growing sweet smoke, tangy citrus with butterscotch and red currants.
With a rich and lingering finish this Kilchoman is delivering perfectly.
