A fantastically honeyed single malt from Speyside distillery Inchgower – finished in an ex-Madeira barrique! The expression is part of independent bottler Murray McDavid’s Cask Craft collection. The range focuses on flavour-forward cask finishes bottled at 44.5% ABV at natural colour with no chill-filtration – and they’re excellent value, too!
Tasting note:
Nose: All about the orchard fruits: pear, apple and peach with a nutty creaminess and sweet spice warmth.
Palate: The palate gets richer, the fruits become more jammy, and there’s a mouth-coating milk chocolate element in with the oak spice.
Finish: Medium length with more of those orchard fruits.
