RUM from Martinique HSE Château Marquis de Terme / 2007 / 48% / 50cl
Aged in oak for a minimum of 12 years with an additional maturing in Marquise de Terme wine casks for 10 months, the result is a rich indulgent rum that draws your attention on the nose and palate.
Nose: Rich ripe red fruits, some cherries and chocolate notes open up the nose so perfectly. Some exotic spices and a rich hint of oak and honey.
Palate: Those dark fruits play a pivotal roll on the front of the palate right to the middle, rich and indulgent tastes that include sweet and exotic spices from the nose on the mid palate, dark fruits with a woody richness and some rather interesting hints of liquorice and grapes, more dark fruits and a lingering sweetness into the long and balanced finish.
