Guyana Diamond Rum 10 Year Old 2010 Berry Bros. & Rudd 60.5% 70cl

Distilled at the Diamond distillery in Guyana, this is a big rum that can open in the glass or add a drop or two of water at room temperature to reveal the amazing scope of tangy smooth and rich sweet smoke flavours in this golden rum.

Nose: Subtle dried oak and orange spices, hints of dried lemon and lime, some white chocolate takes a brief appearance before dry spices come into play, a slight sweet smoke rounds off the nose.

Palate: Hints of summer coastal flavours, dried tobacco leaf and a little oily, delicate citrus and vanilla, some toasted oak, orange bitters with chocolate and dark honey, Bonfire embers and warm apple pie with cinnamon dusting and salted caramel cream.
The Islay cask really livens this rum up but never overwhelms the palate leaving a great tasting rum with a delicious twist
