Nose: Dark fruits, some vanilla extract, hints of strawberry and soft gingerbread notes, a lingering smooth aroma grows as this dram sits in the glass, chocolate and damsons, Bakewell tart and whipped cream, some charred oak adds a nice twist to the aroma.
Palate: Soft baked fruit cake, crispy donut tastes add a great vanilla note, charred oak and sweet shop candy, dark chocolate and a little soft spiced fruits like pears and berries, a nice balance in to the finish of this great Glenrothes.
