Glen Moray 14 Year Old Bonne Nuit, Mon Amour 56.8% ABV
From Brave New Spirits’ Cask Noir range, this Glen Moray single cask expression has been matured in an ex-Bourbon barrel for 14 years. It was then bottled at natural colour with no chill filtration – a dram that really lets the distillery character shine. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt distillery that often flies under the radar, but offers consistently delicious whiskies. One to crack open and share with friends.
Nose: Like a traditional cream tea: strawberry jam, cream and a raisin-filled scone dough. Peach and a little cinnamon come through, too.
Palate: Stone fruits come through alongside the red berries, with rhubarb and custard boiled sweets, gooseberry and nutmeg notes too.
Finish: Medium length with more fruit, and a suggestion of dry white wine.
