EQUILIBRIUM TWO 16 YEAR OLD WHISKY SPONGE

This second release is a mix of a 2005 Edradour and a 2005 Ballechin, both matured full term for 16 years in 2nd fill sherry hogsheads and bottled at 55%.

Nose: Rich and earthy with some soft herbal notes and a hint of peat, dry oak and some cedar, candied orange and soft fruitcake mix.

Palate: A nice opening of sherry and sweet peat, some citrus and herbs with barbecued meats, berries and rich plumb notes, hedgerow blackcurrants, soft vanilla, salted caramel and runny honey, a  nice balance between sweet and dry adding to the finish that lingers with sweet spices some soft smoked apple and syrup.
