EH Taylor Single Barrel Bourbon 50% 70cl

The Bourbon for this single barrel from EH Taylor - made at the same distillery as Buffalo Trace - has been matured in Warehouse C. The very same original one built in the 19th century by E H Taylor himself! A good stat for a drinks-related pub quiz.

Tasting note:

Nose: Rich and creamy with butterscotch and golden honeycomb, hints of cocoa and citrus, warming spices and whipped fudge, candied orange adds to the complexity of the nose. 

Palate: Smooth and luxurious at the front of the palate, some creamy citrus notes arrive with a rich hint of tobacco leaf and vanilla, the rich butterscotch on the nose is here in the mid and late palate, sweet spices in the finish of this excellent Bourbon. 

Finish: Long and rich with more butterscotch
