From the pioneers of single village mezcal, this Del Maguey bottling celebrates the flavours of the wild Tobalá agave varietal. Fruity, floral and saline, the plants that go into this expression were grown on a tropical hillside close to the village close to Santa Maria Albarradas. Where it was also crafted! Wild fermentation and double pot still distillation result in this vibrant mezcal with a fruity flavour. Totally delicious.
Nose: Magnolia and honeysuckle dominate the initial impression, followed by tropical fruit and a fresh seaweed quality.
Palate: Mango and pineapple come to the fore, followed by a vibrant cinnamon and bell pepper note. It’s all wrapped up in a gentle, creamy texture.
Finish: Long and soft, with lingering green vegetable notes.
