Dailuaine 2011-22  Wilson & Morgan Oloroso Finish 46% - 70c 

The sherry cask used for this single malt held sherry for around 60 years before the Dailuaine spirit was filled in 2011.  

For all the time the sherry aged in the cask the whisky has held its own and more.  

Nose: A surprisingly fresh and light aroma from the glass, a nice, sweet sherry cask note of dark red fruits, hints of mango and strawberry, as this dram rests in the glass a lot of great aromas can flow out, citrus and hints of dried spices.  

Palate: The sherry cask has a nice laid-back profile on the opening of the palate, dry sweet spices, hints of vanilla pod, rich tannic notes, orchard fruits, with a hint of candied orange and soft lemon, as we reach the mid palate the sherry cask notes come forward, raisins and dark berries, some ruby chocolate and spices with a tangy finish that grabs your attention.
