A rare aged Clynelish distilled in 1972 Bottled in 2007
Nose: Lemon and olive oil, a little subdued menthol, rich mineral notes, apples with hints of spices and salted caramel toffee, mango skins, truffles with toasted oak, light tobacco leaf and runny honey, a touch of ginger.
Palate: A rich and elegantly balanced opening to the palate, banana, waxed fruity notes, some hints of charred toast, malt loaf and fresh farmhouse butter, dried forest fruits, some melon and white pepper, honey with a rich lingering finish of soft nutty flavours, some vanilla and light spices.
