The team at Murray McDavid have done it again! ‘It’ being snapping up delicious whiskies, bottling them at 44.5% at natural colour without chill-filtration, and releasing them at an amazing price. This Benrinnes release has been finished in an ex-tawny Port barrique for a majestically bold dram.
Tasting note:
Nose: The dram bursts open with sweet pastry notes, brown sugar cubes, and milk chocolate-coated almonds.
Palate: Bold, creamy and mouth-filling, there are chocolate orange notes in with raspberries, strawberries and red cherries.
Finish: Long with lingering sweet spices.
