Benrinnes 25 Year Old Celebration of The Cask - 53% ABV

A gloriously aged Benrinnes that’s been aged for an impressive quarter of a century before being bottled by Càrn Mòr for its Celebration of the Cask collection. The release was distilled back in 1996 and matured in a single sherry butt up until 2021. Bottled at natural colour (look at it!), it offers an array of rich Christmassy notes. Just 482 bottles have been released from the independent bottler. 

Nose: The aroma sums up December: there’s hazelnuts, mince pies, Christmas cake, dried fruit, and even a suggestion of lingering sulphur that reminds you of a cracker snap.

Palate: The rich, fruity nuttiness continues along with a robust mouthfeel. There’s cinnamon, pastry, cereal notes and even a suggestion of cherry brandy.

Finish: Incredibly long drying into an oaky spiciness.
