Isle of Harris The Hearach 46% ABV 

It's here! Not only is The Hearach the Isle of Harris Distillery’s inaugural single malt whisky, but it’s also the very first dram to ever come from the island. The lightly peated expression is matured in a trio of casks: first-fill ex-bourbon, oloroso and Fino sherry. The result? A vibrant expression with a complexity not often seen in younger whiskies. Founded in 2015, the team behind Isle of Harris Distillery started production to bring employment opportunities to the remote Scottish island. The Hearach has sold out on release, so we expect these bottles to fly off the shelves. 

Tasting note: 

Nose: Gentle peat smoke comes through, alongside bright florals, orchard fruits, traditional boiled sweets and fresh barley. 

Palate: Creamy and rich in texture with more fruits, alongside candied ginger, vanilla pods and crunchy honeycomb. 

Finish: Medium length with lingering peat smoke and sweet spices.
