This involves transferring the whisky into a different type of cask for a final period of ageing, such as port pipes, sherry butts, or Sauternes wine barriques, to impart additional layers of flavour.

The core range begins with the Glenmorangie Original 10 Year Old, a benchmark Highland malt offering citrus, peach, and vanilla cream. The Lasanta adds richness through finishing in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, while the Quinta Ruban gains depth and dark chocolate notes from port casks. The Nectar d’Or, finished in Sauternes wine casks, showcases honey, spice, and dessert-like sweetness.

At the premium level, Glenmorangie offers older age statements, limited editions, and rare single malts through its Private Edition series, often exploring unusual cask types and barley varieties. Independent bottlings of Glenmorangie are rare due to tight control over cask stocks, but when they do appear, they tend to showcase the spirit’s naturally light, fruit-forward character in its purest form.
