A delightfully golden release from The Singleton of Glendullan as part of the 2023 Diageo Special Releases. Under the tagline Spirited Xchange, the Dufftown-based single malt is finished in rich Chardonnay de Bourgogne French Oak casks to impart a silken character. A super smooth summery dram, even at cask strength.
Tasting note:
Nose: Bright and sunny with cut grass, tinned peaches, chocolate eclairs, green apple, filo pastry, and a touch of strawberry.
Palate: Medium weight with more peach, a dusting of sweet spices, white grapes, digestive biscuits and vanilla custard.
Finish: Medium length, drying out into those sweet spices.
