A heavily peated malt distilled at Bruichladdich distillery, Port Charlotte has gained something of a cult following among whisky enthusiasts. Every aspect of the production is done on-site, including the bottling.
The OLC:01 has been matured in a smorgasbord of bourbon, ex-Syrah, ex-natural wine and Fernando de Castilla ex-Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a rich, tannic texture and extremely fruity and smoky flavour profile.

Nose: Blackcurrant and red berry Jam, roasted cashews with some honey and salad pepper coating, some creaminess arrives to level out this most amazing aroma.

Palate: Fresh roasted chestnuts, tangy citrus, hints of battered fish, caramel and honey with hints of fresh green beans, malt loaf and Turkish delight with fig rolls. Dried peat and wood embers add warmth and complexity to the finish of candied orange and cinnamon dusted pancakes.
Just when you think its all over a final roll of sweet candies and creamed rice, crushed black pepper and apple skins.
