Port Charlotte MC:01 2009 56.3% - 70cl

Matured in Oak wine casks

Nose: Hay bales and summer fruits, some hints of lemon and lime at times but more darker fruits seem to dominate, orchard fruits come into play on the nose, softer smoke and hints of dry peat and spices, charred sweet oak, hints of rubber and tar.

Palate: With a smoke and peat opening that soon gives way to some sumptuous rich orchard fruits, red berries and hints of sweet citrus like nectarine and darker rich fruits, with smouldering rich peat and a tarry smoke dripping across the palate rather well, heading into a sweet rich lemon and tropical fruits, a complex dram that changes with each sip

The finish of smoke and peat with tangy spices and rich charcoal fruitiness that just keeps going long after the last sip.
