This vintage is finished in Sherry casks that shine through on the nose and palate.
Bowmore is the oldest distillery on Islay with its famous No1 Bond allowing sea spray to flow down the middle of the floor as it flows out the other side of the bond infusing sea salt aromas into each cask as it rests.
Nose: Saville oranges with toffee brittle, some cherries and dates, hints of chocolate and soft fudge, strawberries and honey glazed cereal bar. A nice rich spice edge grows perfectly on the nose.
Palate: Mouth coating with some salted caramel brittle, sesame seed crunch and barley sugar twists, sweet sherry notes arrive in the mid palate, a vanilla note with a creamy soft whipped fudge, all spice and pink peppercorns.
