A beautiful rum bottling from renowned producer, Appleton Estate. Crafted by master blender Joy Spence from 13 casks, the expression was aged for a minimum of 29 years. The Hearts Collection celebrates single-marque (or single-recipe) rums made using a specific Forsyth pot still at Appleton Estate.
Tasting note:
Nose: Rich and spicy, with cinnamon, caramel, nutmeg, ground coffee, and toasted oak, plus a subtle tropical fruit funk.
Palate: Round and palate-coating, with honey, florals and butterscotch, alongside cooked pineapple and papaya.
Finish: Long and intense, drying out into those spices.
