Yes, the iconic bitters producer also makes rum! This is a refreshingly light blended rum from Trinidad. Aromatic and excellent for mixing, it’s been aged in ex-bourbon casks for five years. The distillery has a series of column stills on site to making a range of rum styles, with the business dating all the way back to 1824.
Nose: Light yet buttery, there’s a zesty lemon, coconut and vanilla, alongside cloves and other sweet spices.
Palate: Lots of lush tropical fruit, including perfectly ripe banana, mango and a hint of papaya. There’s delicate nutmeg, too.
Finish: On the shorter side, but gently spiced and warming.
