Finn Thomson returns with this fascinatingly matured Pitilie release – the name given to independently bottled Aberfeldy single malts. This one is especially unusual – it’s enjoyed a full-year finish in an active Tokaji cask! The distillery character is known for being gentle and nutty, but following this secondary maturation a whole cohort of stewed apple and balsamic vinegar notes shine through. Wondrously complex.
