Aged in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon and European ex-sherry casks, it’s bold, full-bodied, and as densely oily as you’d expect from the iconically robust Speyside single malt distillery. At 46% ABV, it’s got the weighty mouthfeel to match, too.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Apples, peach, and a touch of star anise.
Palate: Spiced fruit cakes
Finish: dry and pleasantly bitter
