It’s young, punchy, peated whisky just as it should be. Coastal maturation gives a maritime edge to the spirit. It’s bursting with Islay character, which is incredibly unusual for a Lowland whisky.

A crisp, surprisingly fresh nose opens with rocket leaf, petrichor, and burnt toast notes. Red cherry and citrus peels quickly follow, ahead of a stonking waft of smoke: corn on the cob on the barbeque, smoked peanuts, smoky bacon crisps and roast meats. Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, apple sauce, cinnamon and vanilla pods bring detailed sweetness.
It’s a glorious continuation of the palate with added black pepper, dessicated coconut, olive brine and honeycomb notes. Red berries and dried florals add layers of detail, with the profile broadly dominated by plumes of roadwork smoke and charred tropical fruit.
